Exercise Behavior Coaching

Access to guidance and structure to encourage exercise adherence

Why Might I Need An Exercise Behavior Coach?

Exercise Behavior Coaches (EBC) are a valuable resource to motivate you towards a healthy lifestyle and can provide the proper guidance and structure to encourage exercise adherence. EBC’s can help those who struggle to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, and who may have mental or physical barriers when it comes to exercising (i.e. time management, stress, family obligations, injuries, illness, self-confidence, and body image).

What Exercise Behavior Coaches Can Do For Me

Exercise Behavior Coaches (EBC) can help you adopt and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle by identifying and decreasing mental/physical barriers to exercise. Through the proper use of mental training skills (i.e. visualization, imagery, positive self-talk, goal setting, performance routines, etc.) an EBC can help you make meaningful behavioral changes that may help across multiple disciplines, including exercise.

Are You Interested in Improving Your Exercise Habits? Below is a List of Skills and Services an EBC Can Provide:

  • Teaching proper S.M.A.R.T goal-setting techniques (in order to set realistic and attainable fitness goals)
  • Positive & motivational self-talk (to help boost effort and increase confidence)
  • Relapse prevention and methods of motivation (help support clients through barriers such as traveling, time management, and stress)
  • Visualization and imagery techniques
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Social support
