Music Ministry is one of our favorite ways to praise God and to enhance the Liturgy. Everyone is welcome! We have music for both instrumentalists and vocalists. We rehearse one hour prior to Mass in Muller Chapel. If you would like to sing or play at the 1pm, simply arrive by noon, and at 7pm for the 8pm Mass. Our campus ministers who coordinates our music ministry are Matthew Hall (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Elizabeth Lyon (email@example.com)
Meet the Student Music Directors:
Casey Quinn (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Casey is a junior English major at Ithaca College, with minors in Music and Education Studies. She is originally from Plymouth, MA where she attended Plymouth North High School.
Casey has always held a strong passion for music and is so grateful to be able to bring that passion to the Ithaca College Catholic Community. She has been a pianist for most of her life and has developed a deep love for singing over the last few years. Currently, Casey is a collaborative pianist in the Whalen School of Music and was a member of the IC Women's Chorale for 2 years. Additionally, she is the student conductor of Premium Blend, Ithaca College's premiere all-female a cappella group. In high school, she was a member and accompanist of the school's select choir and mixed chorus. She also founded and directed the school's first vocal ensemble for treble voices.
Working with the IC Catholic Community Music Ministry is Casey's first extensive experience with liturgical music. She is so excited to expand her faith through song as her time with Music Ministry continues over the next couple of years.
Harris Andersen (email@example.com)
Harris is a freshman at Ithaca College majoring in Piano Performance in the studio of Dr. Charis Dimaras and Music Education with a string crossover. He is from Woodbridge, Connecticut and attended Amity Regional High School. Harris has played piano for nearly all of his life but also plays violin in the IC Symphony Orchestra and picks up the trumpet once in a while. He enjoys collaborative piano work with vocalists and especially instrumentalists, and hopes to study orchestral conducting as a potential career. Having subbed at Masses on occasion back in Connecticut, Harris is so excited to be joining the IC Catholic Community to share his faith and music.
