Retreats

The Ithaca College Catholic Community offers a number of retreat experiences for students to grow closer to God and others while providing them the chance to discern who God is calling them to be during their time in college and beyond.

Be sure to follow up with John Morton at jmorton4@ithaca.edu with any questions about our retreat offerings!

2019-2020 Retreats:

New Student Retreat - Sat. Sept. 7 from 9:30 AM- 5 PM

Every fall, the Catholic Community offers a day-long retreat open to first year and transfer students called the New Student Retreat. This retreat welcomes new members to the Catholic Community and allows them to make new friends in the community. Student leaders lead this retreat and offer reflective talks on their first year experience. Small group conversations follow these talks and there are also opportunities for free time. The retreat has taken place at one of the state parks in Ithaca which offers scenic hiking trails and beautiful views of the gorges in Ithaca.

If you are a new student in the fall of 2019, you are encouraged to reach out to campus minister John Morton at jmorton4@ithaca.edu for more information on this retreat.

Kairos VI Retreat - Fri. Feb. 7- Sun. Feb. 9, 2020

The Kairos Retreat is an opportunity to get off campus for a weekend and reflect on your relationship with God, self and others. This retreat is student-led with students from both Ithaca College and Cornell University invited to participate. Student leaders give a reflective talk on an aspect of their faith journey which stimulates further conversation in small group discussion. There is also the opportunity for individual and group prayer, free time and the chance to celebrate Mass in a warm and welcoming community.

All students are invited to participate. The sign-up form will be available in early November 2019.
