Ithaca College Student Health Service Mission
- The Ithaca College Student Health Service is dedicated to
serving the individual and collective healthcare needs of the
Ithaca College community through providing comprehensive primary
care medical services for students, individual and community
education, prevention and health screening, and by assessing and
responding to the Public Health needs of the campus community.
- We are committed to providing students with excellent and
highly accessible clinical services in an inviting, respectful, and
confidential environment. We strive to promote healthy life
choices, to educate students about their illnesses and medical
care, promote consumer competency, and to listen to and partner
with our patients in providing service. Our commitments to patient
education and to providing learning opportunities for students
within our organization reflect the College's commitment to
experiential learning within our residential community.
- The Ithaca College Student Health Service adheres to the
general principles and standards of ethical conduct endorsed by the
American College Health Association: To do no harm, provide service
in a caring manner, respect autonomy, protect privacy, maintain
competence, promote justice, and respect diversity.
- The Ithaca College Student Health Service aspires to provide
the highest quality healthcare in a supportive and educational
environment, to be a public health resource for the campus
community, and to be an outstanding place to work.
