The practice of religion on a college campus should be consistent with the academic goals and standards of the community. That is, without abandoning one's faith, one can support the sincere quest for truth among all seekers. Tolerance of the other religious visions is of the greatest importance. It is reported that Gandhi said that if we were all good Christians, good Jews, good Muslims, or good Hindus, we would live in harmony. We recognize that each religious tradition possesses its own approach and set of beliefs, but intolerance of another approach and proselytizing can only reflect badly on one's own faith. Therefore, let us respect other faiths as much as we believe our own.
