Sport Clubs

Voluntarily organized by students, sport clubs exist for the purpose of furthering a common interest in a physical activity through competition, instruction, participation, or performance. Students elect their own officers, draft their own constitution, request facility space, get approval for and make travel arrangements, schedule contests with other teams, develop contracts with officials and artists, and manage their budget.

For more information on club meetings or to form a new club, contact Mike Ostman via email or in the Sport Clubs office on the first floor of the Fitness Center.

About Golf Club

Started in 2008-2009 as a recreational club, the Golf Club quickly realized they wanted to become more competitive.  After playing regionally with teams such as Cortland, Syracuse, and Brockport, the team plans to join the National Collegiate Club Golf Association.  This league expands its competition to major colleges like Boston College, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Penn State just to name a few.

The team plays two regional tournaments within the Northeast division with the opportunity to advance to national tournaments. For more information on the golf team, please contact Alex Nofer at or Derryk Williams at

Practice Schedule

The golf club encourages players to practice throughout the week, with team practices every Friday at 4:00pm.  The team plays at Trumansburg Golf Club located 15 miles north of Ithaca.
