Philosophy

I believe that we create our own futures--both individually and collectively. As professionals working with and within organizations, this means that we literally help people change their lives. This may afford us power, but at the same time it gives us great responsibility to act ethically and responsibly on behalf of the individuals and organizations we serve, our society, and our environment.

Beyond our professional lives, I believe we have reached a critical moment in human history at which our knowledge of how we came to be as a species through evolutionary processes, and of the effects we have had on our planet requires us to take responsibility for the future. You can read more about this in Guiding our evolution: If we don't do it, who will?, a book I co-authored with Bela H. Banathy.
