Sustainability is woven into our curriculum and research, and our everyday life on campus. It’s the IC way. In fact, we’re resolved to reach 100 percent carbon neutrality by 2050.
— Ithaca College invested in a 2.9 megawatt (MW) solar electric project in 2016 that will provide enough electricity to meet approximately 10 percent of the college’s energy needs.
— IC offers more than 170 courses with sustainability themes or content across 30+ academic departments and programs.
— The Princeton Review named Ithaca College to its list of 322 "green colleges" in 2013
— The Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise and the Peggy Ryan Williams Center buildings are certified LEED Platinum.
— The Athletics & Events Center is certified LEED Gold
— IC encourages transportation alternatives through public transit, carshare, rideshare, and vanpool
