As an international student at Ithaca College, you will work through the Offices of International Programs and Extended Studies. Please read through the following important information before you apply.
International students should be fluent in written and spoken English. This proficiency is also critical to your success in the program. International applicants whose native language is other than English are required to submit proof of English proficiency. Courses are taught in English and you must be able to effectively communicate with faculty members, fellow students, your roommate, and others to succeed at Summer College. The following are acceptable means to demonstrate proof of English proficiency:
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- iBT 80
- Paper-based 550
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Three years of attendance at a high school where English is the principal language of instruction.
Acceptance into Ithaca College's summer college program does not guarantee admittance into Ithaca College.
