Frequently Asked Questions

There will be up to 25 students in each studio class.

Some, many, but not necessarily all. Instructors and Guests might be Ithaca College faculty, alumni, or local professionals!

You will be in class from 9:30 - 11:30 am, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm, and 3:00 - 4:30 pm. We expect students to remain in class the full time. 

You may also require additional self-directed practice time outside of class hours.


Participants must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and may not participate unless fully immunized (2 weeks after final dose, including the booster shot if recommended by CDC). Participants will be required to present proof of vaccination. Again, please note that you must be fully immunized by the time you arrive. Refunds are not provided to individuals who fail to provide proof of vaccination.

Participants must abide by all campus COVID-19 health and safety protocols in effect at the time of the summer intensive. In addition, depending upon the level of community transmission, it is possible that participants will be required to test, at their own cost, prior to traveling to Ithaca.

Campus Life

A residential coordinator is in charge of non-academic portions of the program including residence life. In addition, a staff of Resident Assistants (RAs) will be working with students during the program. This team of RAs is closely supervised by both the residential coordinator and the program director. The program's faculty director, Joslyn Brenton, also has specific responsibility for academics and academic advising. All program staff and faculty receive training and are background checked in accordance with the College's Minor Protection Policy.

Violations of the program or student conduct code are addressed in accordance with our Summer Pre-College Program Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures process.
