HS Electives

Megan Atchley is a New York based violinist and educator dedicated to creating musical experiences that resonate with her audiences aesthetically, politically and bodily. She loves making and supporting new music and does so in a variety of capacities including as a founding member of new music/jazz/hip-hop ensemble ShoutHouse, and frequent performer with various NYC new music ensembles in venues such as Le Poisson Rouge, the Bowery Ballroom and Lincoln Center. In addition to running a robust private studio, Megan is on faculty at Third Street Music School and Girls Prep Middle School. She holds degrees from NYU Steinhardt and Ithaca College.  In addition to music Megan is passionate about feminism, food and Jane Austen novels.
