Lizbeth Burrow received her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Fredonia and her Master’s Degree Ithaca College. Her primary instrument is viola, but she has expertise in all string instruments. She started her career as an orchestra teacher at Liverpool Central School District where she taught orchestra and string lessons at Liverpool High School. For the past two years, she has been the orchestra teacher for grades six through twelve at the Rye City School District in Westchester County. Through her work as a teacher in both school districts, Lizbeth has been able to develop her pedagogical skills as well as her positive relationships with her students.

Lizbeth believes in fostering independence in young musicians. It is important to her to develop students’ critical thinking skills through music as she helps students to problem solve and develop their musicianship. Because of the supportive classroom environment that Lizbeth has created, she is able to both help students improve their playing and build their confidence. She believes that the skills students learn through music will serve them throughout life.
