Matteo Longhi is the 7-12 orchestra director at Chittenango Middle School and High School. He graduated with a B.M. in Violin Performance from Ithaca College and Masters degrees in Music Education and Violin Performance from Syracuse University where he was a graduate assistant.

Matteo has been on the faculty of ICSMA as well as Le Moyne's Summer Arts Institute as an instructor of Viola and Violin. In 2019 he was the conductor for Onondaga County's Jr. High All County Orchestra. He has worked as a guest clinician and conductor for the Syracuse Youth String Orchestra and Syracuse Youth Orchestra, running sectionals and rehearsals, and has adjudicated solo and All County festivals in Onondaga and Monroe Counties.

Matteo is an active performer of both orchestral and chamber music, and has played with various local orchestras and organizations such as the Binghamton Philharmonic, Symphoria, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Symphoria, Tri-Cities Opera, Syracuse Stage and the Society for New Music. He has been a Chamber Music Immersion Fellow at the Weekend of Chamber Music festival in Jeffersonville, NY and has participated in the Charles Castleman Quartet Program in Boulder, CO. He is currently concertmaster of SUNY Cortland’s College/Community Orchestra.
