Cellist Peter Guarino currently teaches strings, chamber music, and orchestra at Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Manlius, NY.
Peter earned his Master of Music degree from the Hartt School of Music in Cello Performance studying with Mihai Tetel. Peter earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College where he studied Music Education and Cello Performance. His teachers included Elizabeth Simkin and Heidi Hoffman. Peter holds NY and CT public school teacher certificates.
Peter has continued his solo and chamber music studies through daily lessons, masterclasses, and chamber music coachings at the ARIA International Summer Academy (MA). In 2010, Peter served as the assistant to the directors for ARIA.
Outside of music, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, running, and cooking.
