Based on research into higher education sustainable event planning and experience with IC's Sustainability Week, OEMS Intern, Rosie Bostian, helped to draft a campus sustainable event guide to help IC students, faculty and staff lessen the impact of campus events.

Chestnut Living Lab

The Chestnut Living Lab is a living research project involving two Garden double apartments and the two pairs of students living in them at Ithaca College. The data from a sustainably renovated apartment and a regular Garden apartment are compared to show that it is possible to have sustainable living habits while living in a college dorm setting.

Green Dorm

Eco Reps and the Community Council have partnered to certify on-campus living spaces Green Rooms. Schedule a walkthrough with your Eco Reps to earn your certification.

Single-Use Plastic Free by 2025

Students from the Office of Energy Management and Sustainability have begun developing a plan for a cost-effective path to completely phasing out single-use plastics on the Ithaca College campus by 2025.
