Preludio Violin Program

The Preludio Violin Program, Ithaca Suzuki Institute’s most advanced violin program, will be led by Emily and Patrick Connolly, two outstanding Preludio alumni. Preludio is an intensive two-week program for the very serious young violinist beyond the Suzuki repertoire. A rigorous pre-college structure sets this program apart from our advanced institutes, including multiple performance opportunities and unique classes catered to the 12 accepted students. Students will additionally receive 5 hour- long private lessons, piano coaching, technique class, repertoire class, and performance class.

Audition requirements include one memorized movement of a major concerto (piano accompaniment encouraged) and one contrasting piece.

Auditions and Google form can be submitted to Emily and Patrick until April 3rd, 2021.

April 4th: notification of acceptance to 2nd round: interview process

April 10th: Zoom interviews (scheduled online)

April 13th: notification of acceptance into program
