He enters his 35th season of calling the action for the HEAT and is among the longest tenured broadcasters in the NBA. Reid has broadcast 2,472 regular season HEAT games during the franchise’s first 34 seasons.

The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM) at Ithaca College will present the 13th annual Izzy Award “for outstanding achievement in independent media” on Thursday, April 27, at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

The ceremony will honor the winners, who will each discuss their intrepid work in 2020. The recipients are Truthout, represented by Editor-in-Chief Maya Schenwar; Liliana Segura; and Tim Schwab.

Reflections on Identity, Race, Colonialism, and Islam

To mark Professor Asma Barlas' retirement in Spring 2020, the Politics department will hold a symposium featuring three alumni panels discussing the politics of identity, Islam, race, and colonialism, and a keynote lecture by Professor Barlas, herself. The event will close with an informal reception during which alumni, students, and her colleagues are welcome to also share more words about their time with her.
