Join us for IC Giving Day, a 24-hour giving event designed to empower current and future IC students. There are challenges and chances to win funds toward your favorite programs all day long!

The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM) at Ithaca College will present the 13th annual Izzy Award “for outstanding achievement in independent media” on Thursday, April 27, at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

The ceremony will honor the winners, who will each discuss their intrepid work in 2020. The recipients are Truthout, represented by Editor-in-Chief Maya Schenwar; Liliana Segura; and Tim Schwab.

Want to win prizes for being creative and get some great work for your portfolio? Then join the American Advertising Federation for our Spring Virtual Creative Crunch Competition! Teams of 2-5 students will receive a creative brief on Friday 4/16 at 12pm and have 24 hours to create an advertising campaign for a mystery company, then present their work to a panel of industry professions at 12pm on Saturday (4/17) over Zoom. The first and second place winners will receive Dunkin Donuts gift cards! Don’t have a team? Sign up as an individual and we will place you on one.

This Earth Day, be green to get green with the IC Green Challenge! Post a picture/video showing how you live sustainably using #icgreen2021 for the chance at a $500 prize.

There are a total of 5 $500 prizes, $250 will go straight to your pocket, and $250 will go to the sustainability-oriented organization of your choice.

To mark Professor Asma Barlas' retirement in Spring 2020, the Politics department will hold a symposium featuring three alumni panels discussing the politics of identity, Islam, race, and colonialism, and a keynote lecture by Professor Barlas, herself. The event will close with an informal reception during which alumni, students, and her colleagues are welcome to also share more words about their time with her.
