What is the best class you've taken so far?

I took an Honors class my Sophomore year called Cultural Encounters at Ithaca College. This class required me to engage with the Ithaca College community by attending events on campus throughout the semester. I feel that I have a much deeper understanding and respect for all that Ithaca College does to engage its students, as well as for the students within different majors and schools than myself. I thoroughly enjoyed going to concerts in the music school, listening to guest scholars giving lectures, and attending the mainstage performances put on by the theater department.

Major: Clinical Health Studies/Physical Therapy

Minor: Nutrition Promotion

Theme: The Quest for a Sustainable Future

Some things I do on campus are:

The Honors Program has allowed me to branch out and take a more in-depth look at unique course topics. Honors classes at Ithaca College make connections to the real world in interesting and applicable ways. The Honors Program has also provided me with a network of amazing peers and professors to interact with during my time here at IC.

Studying abroad at the University of Sydney was the most amazing experience of my life so far. I feel that I am walking away from this experience a more mature, independent person with a better understanding and respect for the world as a system of unique and awe-inspiring cultures. I participated in a research internship while in Sydney and felt lucky to learn more about research in the field of Physical Therapy, especially in a country that is at the forefront of musculoskeletal research. I would encourage anyone to take advantage of whatever study abroad experiences they can, whether it be for a whole semester or a shorter program over semester breaks.

I am a member of the IC Club Dance Team. We perform at home football and basketball games and compete at the national level on alternating years. I love being a part of this team because it allows me to continue my love of dance while pursuing a career in a different field, and has provided me with a family of teammates across all different academic areas and class levels from freshmen to seniors.

I am on the e-board for SpoonUniversity. I am specifically in charge of the social media accounts as well as the photographers in the club.
