For Fiction, Memoir, Sci/Fi Fantasy, 5–10 pages, double-spaced
Writing Samples can be returned in one of the following ways:
- Uploaded to your Campminder account using the account username and password created during the application process. If you're returning to your account to upload documents, visit the CampMinder LOGIN page, and click on the link for Documents;
- or faxed to 866-924-6272;
- or mailed to Summer College for High School Students, Ithaca College, Office of Extended Studies, 953 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY, 14850;
- or emailed as a PDF to firstname.lastname@example.org. (We're sorry but Google Docs are not accepted.)
There is no application fee. Early application is recommended. The deadline to apply is May 15th. (After May 15, applications will be accepted on a space available basis only.) Online applications will not be considered complete until writing samples have been received.
Tuition for the 2018 Ithaca Writers Institute is $2,330. This fee includes room and board in an Ithaca College residence hall, a campus meal plan, and all required activities.
Commuter rate: $2,050. This rate includes lunch and dinner. Because program activities continue into the evening, meal plans are required for commuter students.
For accepted students, payment of the program fee is due in full by June 1.
A limited number of need-based, partial scholarships are available for U.S. residents. We're sorry, but financial aid is unavailable for international students. The Financial Aid Request Form should be downloaded at right. Requests for aid must be uploaded by April 1 to be considered.
