The power of encouraging students to engage in meaningful experiences goes a long way and contributes to a successful journey. The nomination form will open in December 2024 so you can encourage first-year and transfer students to join the Offices of Student Engagement and New Student and Transition Programs for a weekend of leadership activities!
What is Emerging Leaders Weekend?
The Emerging Leaders Weekend retreat is a program designed by the Office of Student Engagement and the Office of New Student and Transition Programs for all first-year and transfer students at IC. Together, our offices encourage emerging leaders to discuss their personal thoughts on leadership, connect with like-minded students, and further their involvement at the college. This wonderful retreat-style weekend includes meals, activities, workshops, and more to help new students get involved in Ithaca College leadership! Join us to learn about your leadership strengths, explore DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) concepts, and hear from student leaders across campus. Plus, we'll have some delicious food and purely fun activities as well! In addition, Emerging Leaders Weekend gives students a chance to enhance their collegiate experiences by building on their strengths and becoming a positive change agent on campus and beyond.
What are the logistics of this event?
Emerging Leaders Weekend is held on campus during a weekend in February, dates TBD. There is no cost to students to participate and all materials, meals, and snacks will be provided. Participants are expected to attend the entirety of the program.
