Parks

There's a wide variety of green spaces in London! Though a densely populated city, London boasts plenty of green open spaces, all free to enjoy. Here are just a small selection of those - there are many more to be explored.

  • Hyde Park: The largest of four Royal Parks, & home to The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. Nearest station: Hyde Park Corner.
  • Regents Park & Primrose Hill: Contains London Zoo & one of the largest theatres in London, Regents Park Open Air Theatre. It’s also regularly host to a variety of food and music festivals. Nearest station: Regents Park.
  • Hampstead Heath: A huge park in a stunning part of London. Parliament Hill offers an amazing view of the city on a clear day. Nearest stations: Kentish Town/Gospel Oak/Hampstead Heath.
  • Victoria Park: London’s oldest purpose-built park. Walk down the Regent’s Canal towpath. Nearest stations: Bethnal Green/Cambridge Heath
  • Highgate Village: A beautiful part of London, home to Waterlow Park & Highgate Cemetery (where Karl Marx is buried). Nearest station: Archway
  • Greenwhich Park: Oldest enclosed Royal Park & an urban sanctuary for deer, foxes & over 70 species of bird. A boating lake, six tennis courts & also home to The Royal Observatory. Nearest station: North Greenwhich.
  • Brockwell Lido: 50m outdoor pool surrounded by grade II listed buildings and a great park café. Nearest station: Herne Hill (overground).
  • City Farms: Spitalfields City Farm & Hackney City Farms, great for kids and to get a short break from the city vibes.
  • One New Change: A shopping centre opposite St Paul’s Cathedral which has a roof garden with a fantastic view of London. Nearest tube: St Paul’s.
