I am a Documentary Studies and Production Major from Carbondale, Colorado. My focus is on empowering individuals and groups within all communities to gain an understanding, appreciation, and entrance into the outdoors. Over the past few years, I worked hands-on with an organization called [HS]2, teaching climbing to people of color. I have seen what hands-on work can do for non-profit organizations and communities, especially those focused on engaging with the outdoors. This fall, I will be volunteering with the Ithaca ReUse Center, organizing used materials to help the community and environment. In addition to that, I am writing and filming for The Ithacan and will continue to spread my passion for the outdoors through IC Outing Club, Eco-Reps, and Running Club. I am also involved in Hillel, IC Mixed, and PODER. As a student at Ithaca College, I hope to gain a better understanding of the technical aspects of filmmaking while continuing to focus on working with communities on topics that are important to me.
