Campus tours last approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Our friendly and engaging President's Hosts -- all current students -- will show you around campus, hitting all the highlights. They'll take you into one of the residence halls available to first-year students, show you around the fitness center, guide you through the campus center and a dining hall, and take you through a whirlwind tour of select academic buildings (we won't have time to show you them all, but you're welcome to visit any academic building on your own).
Please note: General campus tours do not include the Park School of Communications.
School of Business tours are offered during the academic year, last approximately 45 minutes and will give you a close look at our newest and most innovative academic building. The School of Business has received platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, the highest level granted by the U.S. Green Building Council. From basement to roof, it's a real-world example of environmental stewardship that incorporates the highest principles of sustainable design.
Students interested in learning more about the School of Business, as well as those who want to learn more about how Ithaca College is embracing sustainability, are encouraged to take a tour. Your guide will be a current School of Business student who will tell you about our business majors and what IC business students experience through their classes and internships. You'll see how this extraordinary building's U-shaped seating areas, small conference rooms, and numerous collaborative breakout rooms allow students to work and learn together in an atmosphere similar to professional business environments.
Go behind the scenes in the Roy H. Park School of Communications with one of our current "Parkies." You'll see our student-run television and radio stations, the offices of our award-winning student newspaper, the Ithacan, as well as photo and computer labs, studios, and classrooms where students produce groundbreaking work in digital and traditional media. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes; this tour lasts approximately one full hour.
