Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are required for home-schooled applicants?
We encourage home-schooled students who have met their local and state regulations for school at home to apply to Ithaca College. Home-schooled applicants will need to provide documentation that they will have attained a high school diploma upon completion of their home school curriculum. As an alternative, as part of their application for admission, students may submit copies of their GED scores to the College. Applicants are also required to submit official SAT or ACT with Writing scores, and a non-parental letter of recommendation.
We also encourage home-schooled applicants to submit the Home School Supplement to the Secondary School Report, which can be found on the Common Application website. Finally, although personal appointments are not required of our applicants, we strongly recommended that home-schooled students meet with an Admission counselor to discuss their academic preparation for college-level work.
