Junior Fellows of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival
Students with no prior experience with the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (through either an internship or a mini-course) are strongly encouraged to register for GCOM 12000 Festivals: Politics and Practices of Creative Industries, a one credit pass/fall ten day long immersion mini course offered in Spring 2015 for Block II.
First year students are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Festival course in order to build up experience for future FLEFF internships.
The course provides background into the histories and practices of festivals and their role in the entertainment industries and arts scenes. It also provides a guided immersion experience into the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival for those new to the festival world.
All students who register for the Festivals mini course will receive the title of Junior Fellows of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival.
Junior Fellows will work closely with the professor teaching the practicum, who will provide a guided experience through the festival, with significant time for interaction and reflection. Junior Fellows will have increased access to festival guests and festival staff as they learn more about festivals and FLEFF.
