A range of topics addressed in 60-75 minute seminars. There is a cost
to access the session, and professional CEUs are available for most sessions.

York State Nurses Association
Continuing Education Online
This site provides access to online modules from several state, including
topics such as End of Life Care, Geriatric Nursing, Early Identification
of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, HIV/AIDS and the Elderly,
and Making Sense of Menopause. Accredited as a provider of nursing continuing
education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on
Accreditation. Courses mandated by the states of New York, Florida, Kentucky,
Texas and Washington are also approved.
University
of Florida Geriatric Education Center
Continuing Medical Education/ Distance Education Programs
Topics: Health Management for Older Adults and Caring for Older Adults.
Courses are offered on the Internet for those health care providers outside
the North Central Florida area. The on-line courses are a collaborative
effort between the UF-GEC and the University of Florida College of Medicine's
Office of Medical Infomatics. All UF-GEC programs are offered at no cost
to the participant or their facility.

Online Educational Modules
The Stanford Geriatric Education Center provides a variety of ethnogeriatric
programs and curriculum resource materials to educate health care professionals
on the cultural issues associated with aging and health. On-line modules
include: Test Your Ethnogeriatric IQ; Improving Communication with Elders
of Different Cultures; and Diversity, Healing and Healthcare.

Geriatric Education Center
Online Curriculum Modules
The Northwest GEC provides online modules on a wide range of topics with
a focus on health promotion and aging.
Wisconsin
Geriatric Education Center
The WGEC is offering educational courses via the Internet. Continuing
education units are offered for each course by the educational institution
primarily responsible for its development. Additional online courses are
under development, including the topics of dementia, falls prevention,
dentures and oral cancer.
Central
Plains Geriatric Education Center
Web-based modules
The Central Plains GEC web-based modules may be used as a resource at
no fee, or taken for continuing education for a reasonable per-hour fee
(payable online). Topics include: Interdisciplinary Team Care; Management
of Behavioral Disturbances in Dementia; Prevention of Pressure Ulcers;
Prevention of Pressure Ulcers; and Weight Loss in the Older Adult.
