Sarah has 2 papers in press, and a third which will be submitted. Her thesis research will be the functional analysis of two mouse olfactory receptor subfamiles, including the de-orphaning of these receptors and site-directed mutagenesis to determine structure-function relationships. She is pleased to announce her engagement and they are planning a June 2006 wedding. Congratulations, Sarah!
Tracy Robinson - Medical School at Duke University
Tracy was awarded a $25,000 Stead Research Scholarship from Duke University School of Medicine! The scholarship will allow her to conduct research under the direction of Dr. James A. Tulsky on physician communication with cancer patients. Congratulations, Tracy!
She is excited to have been elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha the National Medical Honor Society. This is the only national, medical honor society in the world! She is 1 of 8 students at Duke to be elected into the Society.
She has been named the 2007 Cancer Center Young Investigator of Duke University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. She was invited to give a presentation on her work titled, "Patient-Oncologist Communication in Advanced Cancer: Predictors of Patient Perception of Prognosis".
