As much as we hate to celebrate for this purpose, the Department honored the three people leaving.
Vicki,
You know you have touched the lives of many & will be missed as a friend, colleague and mentor in
the Biology Department! Although you won’t be in the office nor seen daily, you will remain
with us for eternity! Thanks again for your years of dedication, commitment, and
friendship. We hope that retirement will be as good to you as you have been to others.
Best wishes from all of your friends!

Students get hands-on with their field trips:
Ed Cluett and science education students Molly Trufant andMary Edwards-Ransom ran the annual frog dissection activity as part of our partnership with Frederick Douglass Academy in New York City. These students supervised dissections in 12 classes over two days, seeing 220 students in grades nine, seven, six, and two seventh grade special education classes. Frogs were generously provided by the Biology Department at IC; Mr. Tim Hearn, science coordinator at FDA, provided valuable logistical support; and the IC/FDA partnership provided financial support.
