Shaianne Osterreich, assistant professor of economics, has been awarded a $10,000 grant to study the Indonesian economy as a Sumitro Fellow. The grant is through the auspices of USINDO, a private U.S.-Indonesian society that supports cultural, academic, and political understanding between the two countries.
