Partnership with Frederick Douglass Academy

Social Studies Education students have the opportunity to take advantage of Ithaca College's ongoing partnership with Frederick Douglass Academy, a college preparatory school located in Harlem.  Students are given the opportunity to shadow FDA students, provide advice on adjusting to collegiate life, and even teach classes. Through this valuable partnership, Ithaca College students and faculty are given the chance to experience the many rewards and challenges that teaching at an inner-city school has to offer.
