Each year, the Department of Mathematics honors those students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics.
Newton Award in Mathematics - given to students with a GPA of 3.7 or higher in introductory courses that apply to the mathematics degree. At least two such courses must have been completed.
Ramanujan Award in Mathematics - given to students with a GPA of 3.7 or higher in mathematics courses at level 2 or higher, with at least two of these courses completed. In addition, the student must be currently enrolled in at least one level 2 or higher mathematics course.
Noether Award in Mathematics - is given to students with a GPA of 3.7 or higher in mathematics courses at level 3 or higher, with at least two of these courses completed. In addition, the student must be currently enrolled in at least one level 3 or higher mathematics course.
