Marella Feltrin-Morris (Modern Languages and Literatures) presented a paper at the Modern Languages Association Conference in Boston (Jan. 3-6, 2013) as part of a session dedicated to translation in second-language development. The title was "Translation Method, Revisited: Developing Translation-Based Activities for Foreign Language Textbooks."

Maria DiFrancesco, Associate Professor, recently presented a refereed paper at the annual meeting of the Asociación Internacional de Literatura y Cultura Femenina Hispánica (AILCFH) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Maria DiFrancesco’s book chapter, “Transcending a Watery Border: Unsettled Bodies and In-Between Subjects in Por la vía de Tarifa,” was just published in a volume entitled Global Issues in Contemporary Hispanic Women's Writing: Shaping Gender, the Environment, and Politics (Routledge Studies in Contemporary Literature).
Marella Feltrin-Morris (Modern Languages and Literatures) participated in the American Literary Translators Conference (Rochester, NY, October 5-6), where she presented her translations of Swiss-Italian poet Fabio Pusterla featured in the recently-published anthology, The FSG Book of Twentieth-Century Italian Poetry, edited by Geoffrey Brock (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2012)
