Unknown to many Ithaca College students are the amazing public nights at the Clinton B. Ford Observatory. Earlier this month, I headed up to the observatory that sits tucked away in the woods on campus, along with several other students, a father and son, and a couple who looked to be on a date, to see if we could get a little starry-eyed.

Chair of physics department lands NASA grant

Beth Ellen Clark, associate professor and chair of the physics department, received a $2.7 million grant from NASA in August to fund her part of the first U.S. mission to bring samples of an asteroid back to Earth for study and analysis.
