Professor Zillah Eisenstein of the department of Politics has been asked to donate her papers to the Brown University’s Pembroke Center Feminist Theory collection.  This collection will consolidate, organize and digitize “the papers of scholars and critics who have transformed their disciplines as well as the field of feminist theory”.

Don Beachler, Politics Department, has co-authored (with Kevin McMahon of Trinity College, David Rankin of SUNY-Fredonia and John K. White of Catholic University of America) a book on the 2008 presidential election.  Winning the White House 2008 was published by Palgrave Macmillan in September 2009.

The inaugural Peggy R. Williams Difficult Dialogues Symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 7, at 8:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall. The program will feature Marc Ellis, director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Baylor University, and Sanford Gutman, professor emeritus of history at SUNY Cortland. It is free and open to the public.
