Naeem Inayatullah, Associate Professor of Politics, presented "The Dark Heart of Kindness: Norms Constructivism as Deflection," at a workshop titled Norms, Nomos, or Normalization? Interrogating the Use of Norms in International Relations, University of Sydney, Sydney Australia.
Zillah Eisenstein, Professor of Politics, delivered lectures via Skype at the W.E.B. Dubois Centre, the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA) at the University of Ghana, Legon, and the U.S. Embassy, Accra, Ghana during the week of March 15th. She was to have presented in Accra but her planes were cancelled due to storms at JFK on Sunday and Monday, March 13-14.

Asma Barlas, professor of Politics and director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, participated in a two-day workshop on women in Muslim majority and minority countries at the Rockefeller Center in Bellagio, Italy, on March 13-14, at the invitation of the Italian Social Sciences Council and Ethnobarometer. There were a total of 17 participants, of which two were from the U.S.
