Eugenia has been teaching at Ithaca College since 1980. During her first twenty-four years, she taught ballet as a full-time faculty member in the Dept. of Theatre Arts. She retired from her full-time position in 2004. For the past ten years, Eugenia has continued her teaching career as a part-time lecturer in the Alexander Technique, a mind-body educational process.
After completing her teacher training at The Alexander Foundation in Philadelphia, PA with co-directors Bruce and Martha Fertman, she was certified as a teaching member of Alexander Technique International (ATI) in June 2000.
Prior to her membership in ATI that continues to this day, Eugenia was awarded Life Membership, distinguished service, in the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). In 1996 she received the Teaching Excellence Award from New York State Electric and Gas and the Independent College Fund of New York, Inc.
Eugenia danced with the Metropolitan Opera in NYC from 1968-1980 and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Montreal, Canada, 1963-1964, and was a founding member of Coldwater Wash Dance Co. 1972-1974.
