"Preserving Jewish Greece" - Adina Mindick '08 (Journalism Major and Jewish Studies minor) presented on her
experiences studying the Jewish communities of Rhodes and Crete in the summer of 2007.

The 5th Annual Klezmer Gala featuring great music from the IC Klezmorim, presentations (by Max
Buckholtz and violinists playing music he had gathered on a recent trip to Romania), and dancing (led
by Roey Mendel), took place in the Emerson Suites.

Marjorie Agosin will present on "The Weavings of Justice: The Arpillera Movement in Chile" at
7:00 PM in the Emerson Suites, Campus Center. Agosin (Professor of Spanish, Wellesley College) is
a well known spokesperson for the plight and priorities of women in Third World countries. She
has also written extensively on her family's experiences as Jews in Chile and on struggles for human
rights in South America.

Film Screening and Forum Discussion of "Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School" at 7:00
PM in Park Auditorium. "HINEINI" (Hebrew for 'Here I am') chronicles the story of one student's
courageous fight to establish a gay-straight alliance at a Jewish high school in the Boston area and
the transformative impact of her campaign on her entire community. Sponsored with LGBT Center and
Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF).
