Brian Truhn '69 Scholarship
Awarded to a student in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, or Recreation and Leisure Studies who plans to pursue a career in coaching.

Richard and Helen Lyon Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies who plan to pursue careers in teaching. Established by gifts of alumni and the family and friends of Coach Dick Lyon and his wife, Helen.

Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies. Established in memory of Merton J. Roberts by family and friends.

Stephen Mosher Sport Studies Endowment for International and/or Experiential Learning
Awarded to students majoring or minoring in sport studies who have demonstrated significant financial need and who will be participating in an international and/or experiential learning experience, including independent study, for a semester or less. Established in 2008 in honor of Professor Stephen Mosher by the Stephen P. McKenna family.

Applications for the following scholarship are handled through the Department of Sport Management and Media. A call for applications is sent to SMM students in April for this scholarship and the award recipient is notified in May.
Professor Wayne Blann Scholarship for Summer Internships
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in sports management or sports media, this scholarship provides financial assistance to a student who has a summer internship in either field. The internship must be credit bearing. The recipient must be in good academic standing, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to candidates with demonstrated financial need.
