Five students from the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies were selected to present as part of a Student Leadership Symposium at the International Conference on Outdoor Leadership in Estes Park, Colorado. All of the presentations were well attended, showcasing the quality of the RLS program at Ithaca College. Their faculty adviser, Christopher Pelchat, Ph.D., got many accolades for the professionalism displayed by the students.
The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies has been re-accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (COAPRT), during the National Parks and Recreation Association annual conference recently held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Four therapeutic recreation majors, Jocelyn Fram, Hannah Louis, Meagan McCallister and Brittany Raphael co-presented a session entitled, "Assessing Functional Skills through the Use of Table Games" with Janice Elich Monroe, Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the NYSTRA conference.
