Current Research

Dr. Scriber is supervisor of athletic training and very interested in different types of sport injuries, their treatment, and rehabilitation. He has been studying the knee injury rates of football players and the impact of bracing and nonbracing. Another interest of Dr. Scriber's is ACL injuries in women versus men in similar sports. He has also been studying throwing injuries in baseball and their prevention and rehabilitation. Dr. Scriber has also been very involved in current issues in professional aspects of the role of athletic trainer. He has attempted to promote the profession positively through many public presentations.

Classes

Dr. Scriber teaches a two-week workshop called "Advanced Techniques in Athletic Training". He teaches advanced techniques which vary according to the interests and competencies of the class. It contains hands-on experience learning practical skills for dealing with the management of common injuries as a teacher, coach, athletic trainer, or parent.
