Viet Gragg Is This Year’s Visiting Multicultural Fellow
By the time he enrolled at Ithaca College in the mid-1980s, Gragg had already compiled an impressive array of career credits. After graduating from high school in 1977, he appeared as a vocalist in nightclubs as well as in productions of Porgy and Bess, Damn Yankees, and West Side Story. He then began writing and appearing in his own musical productions, and he later created advertising and promotional campaigns for the March of Dimes, United Way, and other nonprofit organizations. After graduating from the College in 1989, Gragg became an entrepreneur and established a number of businesses, including Entertainment Collectibles of the Stars with producer/songwriter Quincy Jones. In addition to forming a network of worldwide manufacturing and marketing companies, Entertainment Collectibles of the Stars provided management services to entertainers seeking to merchandise their names and likenesses. Two of Gragg’s current projects include promoting singer Tony Bennett and a production called Music Sculptors. For more information call the Office of Multicultural Affairs at 274-1692. |
