Mary
Arlin ’61 is an institution at Ithaca College.
No one would argue
with that. Except maybe Arlin herself. The professor of music is a master
in her field, music theory. She is well known to everyone who’s had anything
to do with the Ithaca College School of Music for the past four decades.
She’s also friend to many from the four other schools, a loyal and dedicated
IC alumna and faculty member, and a great resource for newcomers and old-timers
alike.
With more than 40
years of affiliation with the College, she’s been called a mine of information
about campus history. She is one of but a few current faculty members
on South Hill with a link to the downtown campus, which she attended as
an undergraduate student from 1957 to 1961.
