Composer Award

Robert Pierzak '06 is one of nine winners of a prestigious 2003 BMI Young Composers Award in a contest that is open to all undergraduate and graduate students in music in the Western Hemisphere. Most of this year's eight other winners were graduate students enrolled at major conservatories. Past winners include many major composers and several Pulitzer Prize recipients. Pierzak's winning work was a composition for cello and piano entitled Alone in the Night.
