Class of '05
Ben Stein Is '05 Commencement Speaker
|
Renaissance man Ben Stein will speak to the class of 2005 during Commencement this May.
Although perhaps best known for his infamous drone (from his performance as a dull high school teacher in the 1980s cult classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Stein has also been a lawyer, professor, game show host, author, columnist, and speechwriter to two U.S. presidents -- Nixon and Ford. These days he speaks at colleges and universities around the country on diverse subjects, always injecting humor into his presentations.
The senior class chose Stein after much deliberation. Class president Leigh Ann Schneider '05 says that his diverse interests and national recognition make Stein an exceptional Commencement speaker.
