Ithaca Finishes Strong in Director's Cup
Ithaca College achieved its highest finish in 10 years when it came in 12th in the final standings of the Division III Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup rankings. The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup ranks the nation’s elite intercollegiate athletic programs based on their finishes in championship events. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in up to 18 sports in NCAA postseason competition, measuring nine women’s sports and nine men’s sports. Ithaca has placed in the top 26 of the standings in all 19 years that the Directors’ Cup has been awarded. Only one other Division III institution in New York State ranked in the top 25: SUNY Cortland at 23rd place.
