The Ithacan wins Gold Crown Award, 4 Apple Awards at CMA NYC24

The Ithacan won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's Gold Crown Award at the CSPA Spring Convention and took home four Apple Awards at the College Media Association's NYC24 convention this weekend in New York.

The Ithacan was presented the Gold Crown on Friday at Columbia University. It's the second straight year that The Ithacan has won the Gold Crown for Hybrid News — CSPA's highest recognition for student publications for overall excellence.

On Saturday, The Ithacan took first place for Best Newsletter in Divisions II and III as a "Best of Show" at CMA's annual spring convention at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

The Ithacan also finished second for Best Newspaper, third for Best Social Media Coverage of a Single Event for Cortaca coverage, and received an honorable mention for Best Podcast for "On the Same Page."
