Calling all Fulbrighters!!
The Central NY Chapter of the Fulbright Association invites you to join current visiting Fulbrighters, Fulbright alumni, and Friends of Fulbright for a DAY OF SERVICE to our local communities. Saturday April 20th launches National Volunteer Week—a time to celebrate volunteerism in the U.S. Our chapter is organizing three local volunteer opportunities for that week in Ithaca, Oneonta, and Syracuse. We will spend a couple of hours on a spring day giving back to our local communities, and then we will gather for some food and fun (Raffles! Prizes!) at a local restaurant!!
In Ithaca: Ithaca Earth Day Park Clean Up! Let’s help Ithaca with some spring cleaning! We will meet at a downtown location and work together to clean up one of the city’s beautiful parks. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. After 60-90 minutes of team work, we will join together at a local downtown restaurant (to be determined) for coffee, snacks, fun, and community. The first FOURTEEN people to sign up and attend each of these events will receive a FREE Fulbright Association T-shirt! ALL attendees will be treated to food and beverages at a local establishment after the volunteer event.
