Associate professor Michael Richardsonís book, Revolutionary Theater and the Classical Heritage, was recently released by Peter Lang Publishing. The book concerns the critical appropriation of the German literary heritage during the Weimar Republic by proletarian-revolutionary dramatists such as Bertolt Brecht, Friedrich Wolf, and Gustav von Wangenheim, and the legacy of their aesthetics in the German Democratic Republic (GDR).
