Submitting A Project Proposal
How do I submit a Project Proposal?
Information Technology represents a significant investment. So we suggest that you submit your proposal prior to making any IT purchases. This can help avoid purchases of technology that will not integrate well with our infrastructure. Whenever you are not sure, please contact us. We will be glad to discuss your pending purchase or endeavor with you.
When considering new technology or major enhancements to existing technology, please keep in mind that we may not have resources available to assist you right away; so planning ahead would be prudent.
You can submit a project proposal by accessing the ITS Project Proposal Intake System using the Submit a Project Proposal links found on these pages on the right menu bar. An Ithaca College Netpass Username and Password are required to access the project proposal system.
The online proposal form consists of a series of questions designed to give ITS a preliminary understanding of the nature, scope and resource requirements of the proposed project. The form is designed to be self-explanatory. We have provided an example of a project proposal illustrating how to answer many of the questions. (See the featured document on the side bar.) There is an Intro tab in the system that explains more about the entire proposal process. However, please do not hesitate to contact the ITS PMO if you have any questions.
