IC Software Bundle

College owned computers have the following applications installed on them by default. This software is called the Ithaca College Network Bundle (updated for Spring 2013).

Windows Computers

Windows 7 Enterprise (32bit) on computers as of May 2012
Windows XP on computers installed prior to May 2012

These applications are supported by ITS. ITS verifies that the applications will work and, for the most part, provides some form of Helpdesk and training and documentation support.

Windows 7 to be deployed Summer 12

Beginning May 2012, ITS began deploying the Windows 7 operating system on newly-installed computers. Public labs WILL REMAIN AT WINDOWS XP; all other newly-installed PC systems, including eClassrooms, will come with the Windows 7 operating system.

Mac OS X Lion will be deployed this summer 2012

Newly-installed Apple computers, including labs and eClassrooms, will be delivered with the Mac OS X Lion operating system starting May 2012.
